ACRYLIC FOAM TAPE - VHB - HIGH BOND

Acrylic Foam Tape, or VHB, is a permanent extruded adhesive for bonding Metals, Plastics, Composites and Ceramics, and is available in multiple thicknesses at SK Direct.

There are many advantages to using Acrylic Foam Tape (AF) as opposed to other fixing methods such as wet-adhesives, rivets and bolts. Acrylic foams have superior bonding strength, unaffected by ageing and UV (no discoloration).

Acrylic Foam Tape is suitable for internal as well as external use, as gap-fill, and capable of absorbing shocks and vibrations. The heavy density acrylic core has huge internal strength, so no more splitting of the foam.

Our acrylic foam tapes are readily available in Clear, White and Grey. Some are modified with single or multi-layer coatings for adherence to difficult surfaces such as low-energy plastics, textured surfaces and powder coated metals.

The production method of our Acrylic Foam Tape requires no solvent evaporation, and as such has a low negative impact on the environment.

Typical applications include assembly of signs and displays, mounting of trims, fixings, badges and vehicle panels. Also used for resin filled glass laminating.
